About Me

Life can elicit challenges and hardships that may disrupt your sense of peace, stability, or wellbeing. We all need and deserve to process these situations in a healthy and safe way. Therapy can provide this outlet while also helping you learn more about yourself, your relationships, and the world around you with greater certainty. It would be my honor to walk alongside you and guide you in your journey to peace, self-understanding, and happiness.

I am an Associate Professional Counselor. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and completed my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Throughout my internship, I had the honor of working with teenagers and adults who are dealing with a myriad of struggles such as depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, family issues, addiction, and more. I also work with adults who have autism and ADHD. I support and enjoy working with clients who are LGBTQIA+ as well.

My therapeutic approach is non-directive and puts the client in the driver’s seat as I believe everyone is an expert in their own lives. I incorporate techniques from various approaches such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and narrative therapy. I also use humor with my clients when appropriate.

I chose to become a therapist because I am extremely passionate about people and the understated power of human connection. A lack of connection to ourselves and those around us can lead to suffering in the form of mental illness, substance abuse & addiction, unhealthy relationships, etc. As a therapist, I strive to help clients regain that sense of connection in order to restore their wellbeing and lead a fulfilling life.

In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, family, and friends. I love walking, hiking, traveling, exploring my city, trying new restaurants and cafes, comedy, and watching a good show or movie.
