About Me

The core of therapy is trust. Therapy creates a space where various aspects of life can be explored, and that is a vulnerable position. We all have feelings, memories, or experiences that bring discomfort and uncertainty, and these do not go away if we try to ignore or control them. I work with children aged 10+ and adults, and I would be honored to work with you to bring those experiences into the open. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship where my clients feel safe to express all aspects of themselves without fear of judgment. Everyone is the expert of their own lives, so it is my job to walk beside you as we work together to learn from your past,
build coping strategies, and figure out how to live a life that aligns with your personal values. The goal of therapy is to grow from your experiences, to better understand yourself, and to give yourself a space where you can be seen and accepted as the complete you. Your values, strengths, culture, and resources all play a role in how your unique therapy experience will look.

I hold a Master’s in Education in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Georgia and received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia State University. My experience providing counseling in university and community health clinics has allowed me to work with diverse populations and clinical concerns. I have had the privilege of working with clients navigating concerns related to grief, identity exploration, chronic health conditions, trauma, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, and neurodiversity. Each client brings their own understanding, history, and meaning to their counseling journey, and it is an honor to work with my clients as they learn and grow.

My main modality is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), though I also utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Narrative Therapy. In working with my clients, I help them be fully in the moment, learn how to roll with the challenges life throws at them, and develop a deeper understanding of their own story. Therapy is never a one-size-fits-all approach, so I look forward to working with my clients to figure out what their individual therapy journey
will look like.

In my personal life, I enjoy woodcarving, cooking, and spending time with my friends and family. I love being active, so I make sure to set aside free time for kickball, skateboarding, and hiking. I am also a big fan of reading books and watching horror movies. Any form of self-expression is awesome, and I love finding creative ways for clients to express themselves in therapy.
