About Me
My work as a Postdoctoral Fellow centers on psychological assessment. I work with children, adolescents, and adults who may be seeking answers about ADHD, autism, learning difficulties, cognitive concerns, or emotional and behavioral functioning. Sometimes there is a specific diagnosis being considered; other times, a person or family simply knows that something is not quite fitting and wants a better understanding of why. My role is to carefully put those pieces together.
I believe a psychological evaluation should do more than produce scores or add a diagnosis to someone's record. Testing should help make sense of what a person is experiencing in their everyday life. I consider test performance alongside developmental history, relationships, school or work functioning, behavior, emotional experiences, and the concerns that brought someone in for an evaluation in the first place. At the end of the process, I want clients and families to understand not only what the findings are, but what they mean and what they can do with that information.
I also recognize that people arrive for testing with very different histories, identities, cultures, and experiences with mental health care. I aim to approach each evaluation with curiosity rather than assumptions and to make the process feel personal, thoughtful, and respectful. Whether an evaluation confirms a diagnosis, points us in another direction, or helps explain a longstanding pattern, my hope is that you leave with something valuable: answers that make sense, recommendations that are actually useful, and a clearer understanding of where to go from here.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of Georgia, my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University, and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Brenau University. I completed my predoctoral internship at the Brenau Internship Consortium, where I further developed my clinical and assessment skills while working with diverse populations and presenting concerns. Through my training and professional experiences, I have cultivated a deep commitment to delivering thoughtful, culturally sensitive psychological services. My goal is to ensure that clients feel understood and valued throughout the assessment process.
I currently offer psychological services under the direct supervision of a licensed psychologist while simultaneously fulfilling the requirements for independent psychologist licensure. I am eager to collaborate with you or your family to gain a comprehensive understanding of your situation, identify your strengths and areas for improvement.
